Where should i get my computer fixed?

i have a laptop ive been trying to fix for months and i just cant get it to work.i want to know where i can take it to get fixed. hp wont help me because its out of warranty and i just want to get it fixed.can i take it to bestbuy or fry's? or is there someplace better. preferably in the burbank la or glendale area. or can i mail it in somewhere? thanks
