Question for SHERMAN OAKS &/or BURBANK (CALIFORNIA) residents...?

Does anyone have any suggestions for some nice 1-bedroom apartments or townhouses in/around Sherman Oaks or Burbank (California) area? I've been looking on both Craigslist.com & WestsideRentals.com for the past few weeks, and can't find anything decent. *I know how expensive it is to live in LA, but I'm trying not to spend more than $1300/mo. THANKS SO MUCH!!! :)
